The Golden Εye

Set along the coastline, the office building rises as a sculpted vertical composition that negotiates between the horizontality of the sea and the finer grain of the surrounding urban fabric. Rather than asserting a singular monolithic presence, the volume is articulated through a series of layered floor plates that shift and taper as they ascend, establishing a silhouette that is both dynamic and measured. These plates extend outward to form deep terraces, creating a continuous dialogue between interior workspaces and the external environment. The gesture is not merely formal; it moderates light, frames views toward the horizon, and introduces a degree of permeability that softens the boundary between inside and outside. The building’s largely transparent envelope reinforces this relationship, allowing activity within to register on the façade while maintaining a calm and consistent rhythm. At ground level, the structure lifts to open the base to the public realm, establishing a sense of accessibility and continuity with the street. The transition from exterior to interior is carefully mediated, with the building touching the ground lightly, almost as an extension of the landscape rather than an imposition upon it. The structural language is expressed through restrained yet confident gestures, where the interplay of horizontal slabs and vertical supports creates moments of tension and release. This is most evident in the upper levels, where the shifting geometry resolves into a cohesive crown that anchors the composition against the skyline. The project ultimately balances presence and openness. An office building that is at once distinctive in its form and responsive to its context, engaging the city and the sea in equal measure.
